Exciting Changes Coming to the Inn at the Agora in 2025!

At the Inn at the Agora, we’ve always prided ourselves on offering a unique, intimate experience for all of our guests, whether they’re staying for a night or several days. This year, we are making exciting changes to better serve traveling professionals and those requiring extended stays. Our goal is to create a "home away from home" for professionals like nurses, visiting professors, construction crews, and others seeking comfort and convenience while working in Lewiston/Auburn, Maine.

Located at 1 Walnut Street, the Inn at the Agora is ideally positioned for professionals working in the area. Whether you're visiting Central Maine Medical Center, St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, or Bates College, you'll find yourself just a short distance from your workplace. Additionally, with Lewiston’s ongoing downtown revitalization and new construction projects, there's no better time to stay in the heart of this growing and vibrant city.

We’re proud to offer four beautiful suites, each with its own unique charm and appeal. All suites include private ensuite bathrooms, luxurious bedding, robes, buttery soft towels, and toiletries for added comfort. Our guests will also enjoy the convenience of complimentary Wi-Fi, heat, hot water, linens, and weekly full-service housekeeping with on Sundays.

Expanded Accommodations: What’s Coming in 2025

As part of our transition, we’ll be repurposing the third floor of the inn. While this area currently serves as the innkeeper’s quarters, it will soon feature single studio rooms with a shared bathroom, perfect for solo travelers seeking more affordable, long-term accommodations.

Additionally, the Bates Suite will be permanently closed as it transitions into our new innkeeper's quarters. Throughout the transition, guests can expect a seamless experience with no disruptions to our services.

Stay tuned for updates on our blog as we continue to progress with these exciting changes!

Testimonials: Building Lasting Relationships

We love creating long-lasting relationships with our guests, and many of them return time and again. One guest, a contractor, stayed with us on and off for nearly a year while overseeing the construction of a local dialysis center. He appreciated the intimate setting of an inn over the impersonal feel of large chain hotels, and coming back throughout the project became a familiar, comfortable experience.

Another returning guest is a traveling nurse who stays at the inn whenever she is assigned to a local hospital. After a long day, the short commute from the hospital to the inn was an appreciated luxury, allowing her to rest without any hassle.

Additionally, we cater to more than just professionals. One of our regular guests visits the area to attend workshops at the School of Metalworks in Auburn. Our inn’s flexibility and focus on comfort have made us a preferred option for various types of travelers.

Security and Peace of Mind for Long-Term Guests

For long-term stays, we understand how important security is. We’ve taken extra steps to ensure that our guests feel safe and secure during their stay. Our security measures include:

  • Ring security system throughout the property
  • Motion lights in the parking lot and courtyard
  • A locked gate enclosing our backyard for added privacy
  • Cameras placed strategically around the exterior of the property
  • Keyless entry with individual codes for each guest
  • Private parking lot

These systems allow our guests to feel secure and at ease, ensuring their safety while enjoying the intimate atmosphere of our inn.

The Extras: Making Your Stay Special

At the Inn at the Agora, we strive to provide those extra touches that make each stay truly memorable. Our guests can enjoy:

  • A self-serve station with complimentary coffee, tea, and other beverages
  • Luxurious bedding and bathrobes
  • Buttery soft towels for a spa-like experience
  • High-quality toiletries

These little extras help make the inn feel like a second home, and we’re always looking for ways to improve the guest experience.

Looking Ahead: Partnering for the Future

As we look to the future, we’re excited to partner with area businesses, institutions, and organizations. Whether it’s working with local colleges, hospitals, or large construction projects, we aim to continue supporting Lewiston/Auburn’s growth by providing comfortable, convenient lodging for the professionals driving that progress.

We look forward to announcing more updates soon, including the opening of the third-floor accommodations and additional partnerships with local organizations. Stay tuned for more information on how we’re bringing our vision to life in 2025!
